About

I am a freelance web designer and creative media specialist based in Ulverston, Cumbria on the edge of the English Lake District.

I work on Web design projects as well as photography, audio, video and multimedia for individuals, small businesses and education. I have over 20 years experience of working in the areas of graphic design, photography and technical support in education, using both Mac and PC systems. With advanced skills in working with digital images and multimedia, I can offer graphic design services as well as advice and training for working in print and for the Web.

About me

Until 2010 I worked for the University of Cumbria as a graphic designer and technical support officer in the Faculty of Education. I worked as part of a team providing technical support and creative services to staff and students often involving web design, photography, audio and video production.

I live in Ulverston, a small market town in south Cumbria. It is a beautiful place to live – only 3 miles from the sea and 8 miles from Lake Windermere.

In 2009 I completed a Master of Science in Multimedia Computing at the University of Central Lancashire after 3 years of part-time study. This has allowed me to widen the scope of my skills. As well as my original specialism in graphic design and graphics software, I now offer web design and multimedia work.

I enjoying walking in the Lake District and Furness area with my camera(s), constantly on the look out for interesting shots to add to my collection. This includes video as well as still images; I also enjoy short film production and editing.
